Facilities Mechanic

Job Summary of Facilities Mechanic:

A Facilities Mechanic primary duty is to troubleshoot, fix, and uphold mechanical machinery and systems to guarantee they function effectively. The responsibilities of this position include examining equipment, identifying problems, and conducting routine maintenance on machinery used in industrial, business, or residential settings.

Assigned mechanical tasks related to the upkeep and restoration of food processing machinery. Undertook necessary repairs throughout the processing season to achieve production targets. Conducted maintenance and installation of plant equipment during off-production periods to ensure preparedness for upcoming production cycles.

Responsibilities of Facilities Mechanic:

• Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility
• Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required
• Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work
• Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed
• Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments
• Ensure that GMP's (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
• Other duties as assigned
