Job Summary of Collision Repair Technician:

An Collision Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring a remarkable customer journey by thoroughly inspecting and skillfully restoring each customer’s vehicle to its pre-accident condition. Their meticulous disassembly, repair, and reassembly processes are crucial in upholding the company’s values of promptness, precision, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities of Collision Repair Technician:

• Uphold the consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) initiative to drive desired outcomes.
• Estimates the expenses needed for the repair work and organizes the necessary tasks for customers. Implements a variety of tools such as cutting devices, plasma cutters, hydraulic equipment, hammers, and gripping tools to mend car parts.
• Fixes minor body imperfections such as dents and dimples by hammering them out or applying filler materials like resins as needed.
• Corrects structural damage by realigning the chassis and frames of vehicles.
• Tasks involve the removal and replacement of damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket parts, along with repairing or replacing glass and windshields when necessary.
• Replaces or fixes interior elements as necessary.
• Incorporates parts by welding and attaching them securely and positions and assembles elements accurately. Also, readies and refinishes automobiles with paint designated by the factory or a mutually accepted substitute.
• Strives to meet the labor time limits when carrying out work orders. Verifies the correct execution of all tasks through post-repair inspections on vehicles.
• Carries out supplementary responsibilities as required.

Qualification of Collision Repair Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

COMMISSION:

Earnings for this job are computed using location-specific data and income targets, as well as sales and individual achievements, as outlined in the guidelines of the program.

If the sum of earnings for a given timeframe is lower than the minimum wage requirement, the hours logged will be recalculated to meet the higher of the local or state minimum wage.
